Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, which forms the iconic centrepiece of Dubai, has won a real estate award for integrating business enterprises and residences in a “pleasant commercial working environment”.
The tallest building won the mixed use project award in the Cityscape Awards for Real Estate in the Middle East and North Africa for 2010.

Burj Khalifa is part of a flagship development programme called Downtown Dubai and, on completion, was named in honour of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE president and ruler of Abu Dhabi. It is the world’s tallest man-made structure at 828 metres, and is surrounded by hotels, the region’s biggest shopping mall, as well as commercial and residential developments.
